HUGE # of auto-reply messages

Zoomsafer was turned on while driving to work this AM. And when I arrived, I noticed ~160 "undelivered" msg replies in a span of 23 mins. Is there a setting I need to adjust to send out only 1 "I'm driving now msg, focused on the road, etc." msg? I'm concerned my Corp IT Dept will frown on the # of email replies in the limited amount of time. Plz advise. Mark B.

  • Mark - Very sorry about the big # of replys... I've only seen this happen a couple of times and both were when a service (in one case it was a shipping company and the other an internal IT service) auto-replied to our auto-reply and they ended up in a messaging "loop". We have made a change for our next version/GA software where we won't auto-reply again if a second message comes from the same source for a period of minutes after the first.

    In the meantime, if you think this is what happened, you could turn off auto-replys to emails for the time being. Do this by logging on to http://www.myzoomsafer.com and going to the Preferences section.

    Lastly, would you mind confirming that's what happened just so we know? I'd be happy to take a look at things - just send us an email at support@zoomsafer.com.
