How are you finding the ZoomSafer install and getting started experience?
So what do you think? How was the ZoomSafer install and getting started experience?
We worked hard to make the registration and getting started process simple and smooth and i am interested to hear what people think? Did we get it right?

Dear All:
We are hearing you loud and clear on the auto-toots issue -- and based on the feedback we're working on a refinement that would make auto-toots optional for priority contacts. Please be patient with us in this early beta and please keep the feedback coming. Your help is greatly appreciated.
I’m determined to fix the frustration asscoiated with mandatory auto-toots

Inappropriate? It does not give an option to disable, which means customer has no control as to whether it activates or not. SUggest a disable feature. Also suggest that you include, in beta, an option to to notify,,,,people getting pissed .

Inappropriate?Installed fine, but when I try to log in via my BlackBerry Curve, I get the following error: "The application ZoomSafer8330 has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy." This is a personal BlackBerry and does not link to my work BlackBerry enterprise server, so not sure what the issue is. Can you help?

I had to disable my BB Curve firewall to allow the application to install. -

Inappropriate? The install went fine, as far as I can tell. But when I found out that these Auto-Toots will be sent every time I get in a car, I think I will be uninstalling the application. I tried to delete the primary contacts so this would not happen, but your application insists that there be at least one contact listed. I can't think of a soul that I would want to put through the ordeal of checking their texts to see that I have started (or stopped!) driving.
Also, I don't know how to disable the application when I am a passenger in a car. I think there should be some sort of users manual to the software. If there is, I've missed seeing where it is located.
I’m not happy with Auto-Toots!

Roger -- while driving in the car as a passenger you can easily exit the application by clicking the "off-hook" key under the close button in the lower right hand corner. You will then use the track ball to select "i am a passenger and need to use my phone for ___ minutes". It's like a snooze button for passengers. Let me know if you have any questions? thanks -
I discovered that if I put my own contact information into the priority contacts field (phone number and email), then directed the notifications to go to the email....that the website accepted this information. This should (hopefully) get around the issue of having a priority contact person get the texts or emails about my driving. This is a workaround until you folks come up with a better way to make Auto-Toots an option, not a mandatory feature. -
Kudos for finding an interim work around. With regard to the broader picture -- the message is loud and clear on this one -- and we're moving quickly to implement a permanent and elegant solution that makes auto-toots optional. -
Inappropriate?Hi Matt H,
Firstly, thank you for the invite to the beta program.
I registered and downloaded the app onto my Curve 8300, and then proceeded to log in..... the app seems to be stuck at "Logging In. Please Wait" (for the past 1/2 hour).
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Thomas - did the application finish installing? If not, please let me know if you are in Australia - might need to check with tech guys on if this might cause an issue -
Hi Mike R,
Sorry for the delayed response.
Correct, I am in Australia on a BIS plan with Telstra.
The application installed and went to the login in screen, which after entering my credentials, just simply hangs and does not finalise.
I run numerous BIS applications & as such have disabled the carrier's WAP plan as it is not needed (I can easily reinstate if it is required from time to time).
Look forward ot your reply.

Inappropriate? The installation, for me, was fine. no problems. Screens easy to follow..etc.
The notification issue is an issue..... My priority contacts were complaining (by the time I got home from my 30 min commute) about all the emails & texts that I was driving, then wasn't driving (I made a pit-stop on the way home) ... I fixed that temporarily by routing those emails to a different email we don't use as they have blackberry's and phones with email that kept buzzing and playing tunes every time a notification was sent, which I now know then can do without, but I understand for now, its just part of the beta thing.....
otherwise, so far so good I guess.
I’m ok so far LOL

Inappropriate? The initial install and getting started with ZoomSafer was fine....I think its a great service, minus the auto-notifications, which I know you know all about by now :)
I’m satisfied:)

Happy Thanksgiving and sorry to hear about your issues. The basic process is:
- Register online
- Receive an email from us with download link
- Click the link while on your blackberry to download the software
- Follow all the prompts for permissions
- Here's the part that lots of people get confused with and we are changing: when prompted, enter your password, then press the green "call" key on your keypad to complete the installation.
I hope this helps - please email us at support@zoomsafer.com if it's not working for you and we will work with you to get things straight.
Cheers,
Mike -
Inappropriate?I have Verizon BB 8330 Curve. I have the link you sent after my registration. When I go to install, the message I get is "We're sorry, but your device is not currently supported. Please try again later."
Thoughts?
I’m bummed I cannot get it to work
