Facebook notification is dumb
I got RAVAGED about using Facebook to notify my friends that I was driving. I turned it off at the first opportunity. I think this is really a dumb feature.

Hey Dede - Thanks for the feedback! We've heard the same comment from others and it's why we've made the feature totally optional. We're not going to totally delete it though because we've heard from parents and young drivers that it might be a preferred way to notify each other and their friends what their status is.

concerned about your lost opportunities.
Completely understand. That said, I do think this is something you'll want to encourage your users to think about before implementing. The reason for is that "I" may want this, but the 250 people who see this notification in my Facebook page won't know that this is optional, and if it irritates them, as it did my friends, then you've LOST customers before you ever had the chance to acquire them. -
