Auto turn on of Zoomsafer.
On at least three occasions after I stopped driving and turned off Zoomsafer, it started up again all on its own 5 to 10 minutes after I turned it off. I have a Blackberry Curve with Sprint as the service provider.

Inappropriate? Thanks again, Dede and sorry to hear about the issues. Just so I'm clear, you weren't driving when ZoomSafer came back on? You were stationary/in an office/at home?
Mike
I’m thankful for all the feedback

Inappropriate?Correct.

Inappropriate?Same thing just happened to me during a meeting, 4 hours after I stopped driving and exited Zoomsafer.

Thanks for your comment and apologies for the auto-activation. I just noticed that we didn't really get to closure on DeDe's original comment as well.
You may have experienced what we call a "phantom activation" around here. The GPSs on these devices aren't perfect so during our Beta test period we spent a lot of time studying their output with the phones in motion and at rest. Based on all the data we gathered, we developed some pretty sophisticated filtering mechanisms to ignore innacurate GPS speed readings. I haven't had anything reported to me in several months but it sounds like it occurred with you. This should be very infrequent if it occurs at all and I'd appreciate hearing back if it ever happens again.
I'll check our logs and see if there's anything we can see in there as well and get back to you.
Best,
Mike -
Inappropriate? It has happened to me three times in the past two weeks.

Very helpful, thanks. Can you give me a little more information about where/when they occurred? We may be able to find the event to help us tweak our activation algorithm.
You're welcome to write me directly at support@zoomsafer.com (and I'll post the outcome back here) or we can stay in the community forum.
Best,

Inappropriate?Sorry, I'll have to pay more attention to time and place. I believe it happened all three times while sitting at home hours or even a day or more since I was in the car. Actually, I have a whole different issue I need to figure out now as I don't think it's turned on the past few days at all while driving. Will check in an hour or so when I leave.

Inappropriate?OK - Get back to us and tell us what's going on? And in the meantime, do me a favor - just start ZoomSafer once at your office then exit before you leave. You are on v 1.0.0 and we just released a new software version. It's a very minor release but we found a bug where the auto-speed sensing might not re-engage after a user power's down the phone and restarts (it will re-engage once the software's been manually activated once). We'll be getting a note out soon about it's availability for download but in the meantime it'd be good to know if that clears things up for you.

Mike, I verified I wasn't starting as expected when driving so I suspect I did get caught by this. Will verify when I drive today. Thanks.
